The Bed Scout is currently a prototype. This page is a plain-English placeholder covering what a comparison site like this typically needs to disclose — it hasn't been reviewed by a solicitor and shouldn't be treated as final legal copy before a real launch.

What The Bed Scout itself stores

We use your browser's local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember your dark/light mode choice between visits. It stays on your device and is never sent to our server.

Cookies set by retailers

Clicking a "Where to buy" link takes you to a retailer via one of our affiliate partners, Awin for UK retailers and Commission Factory for Australian retailers. That click may set an affiliate-tracking cookie on the retailer's or network's domain so we can be credited for the referral. We don't control these and they're covered by the retailer's own cookie policy, not this one.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser's settings. Doing so won't affect your ability to browse or search The Bed Scout — it may just reset your theme preference.
