The Bed Scout is currently a prototype. This page is a plain-English placeholder covering what a comparison site like this typically needs to disclose — it hasn't been reviewed by a solicitor and shouldn't be treated as final legal copy before a real launch.

What we collect

The Bed Scout doesn't require an account and doesn't collect personal data to use the site. The only thing stored is in your own browser's local storage — your dark/light mode choice and, going forward, may include your filter preferences — none of which is sent to us or seen by us.

Like most websites, our server keeps standard request logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. We don't currently run any analytics or advertising trackers of our own.

Affiliate links and third parties

When you click through to a retailer, that link goes via an affiliate network, Awin for UK retailers and Commission Factory for Australian retailers, before landing on the retailer's site. These networks and the retailer may set their own cookies to track the referral for commission purposes — this is governed by their privacy policies, not ours, and we have no access to any data they collect.

Your rights

Since we don't hold personal data about you, there's nothing to request, correct or delete on our end.
